Currently Sri Lanka faces various issues, including deforestation, soil erosion, wildlife populations threatened by poaching and urbanization, coastal degradation from mining activities and increased pollution, freshwater resources being polluted by industrial wastes and sewage runoff, waste disposal, air pollution in Colombo.
